Recreational pursuits within an hour of your Mountainside Villa
in Fairmont Hot Springs are plentiful. In the immediate Fairmont vicinity you
will find two 18 hole golf courses, a Par Three course, mini-golf, tennis,
squash, and racquetball courts, ski hill (1000 vert. ft.), mineral hot pools,
fishing, ATV trails, hiking, mountain biking terrain and trail rides.

Within the Columbia Valley there are many more recreational opportunities.
Larger ski hills, cross country ski trails, heli skiing and hiking, a variety of
golf courses, hiking trails, snowmobiling, beaches and white water rafting are
all within reach.
Exploring the area by car is rewarding. Much can be seen from the highways, but
the back roads also provide many visual treats. Mountain scenery is complemented
by the lakes and streams running through the Columbia River Valley. Fort Steele
Historic Park is a major attraction. History buffs will enjoy community museums.
The Columbia River Wetlands Wildlife Habitat will also appeal to nature lovers.
